Bill D’Epagnier

My name is Bill D’Epagnier.  I am 64 years old and am originally from Boulder, Colorado. I have been retired from work now for about ten years. I have always enjoyed an outdoor lifestyle, camping, hiking and biking. My wife and I take our Expedition equipped camping vehicle on trips two or three months every year. We have camped in forty-nine states and all of the Canadian Provinces.

When I am not traveling, I workout at Forged Fitness. I have participated in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2012 and I have recently started doing Cross-fit. I have lost 18 lbs. and find myself in the best physical shape that I have been in many years.

From the very first day, I was welcomed by the excellent staff and it was not long before I was completely accepted as one of the regulars. The Cross-Fit instructors are enthusiastic and take care to make sure that I do the workout properly to avoid any injury. The Jiu Jitsu program has the reputation of being one of the best in the triangle area. Most of the people I train with on the mat are less than half my age, but they have been very helpful and friendly towards me. I like the fact that despite my age, the instructors push me hard to achieve my goals just as they do the younger members. I love doing an intense workout, resting for a little while and then taking Jiu Jitsu class – already well warmed up!

Anyone who wants to lose weight and improve their physical condition would find a good home at Forged Fitness. You do not have to be afraid to ask questions here or to ask for an instructor to give you some personal attention. The atmosphere at Forged Fitness is very supportive rather than competitive. You are always encouraged to modify a workout for your own particular situation or ability.
