Sue is a mother of three and a lifetime fitness enthusiast. She loves teaching both adults and kids. Her main goal is for people to feel like fitness equals fun.
Sue Hess has always been active in sports throughout her life, competing in field hockey, basketball and softball. She was a Boston Globe All-Scholastic field hockey player in high school. After graduating from the University of Florida with a M.Ed in education, Sue moved to Raleigh and taught foreign language and coached middle school soccer and softball until the birth of her third child.
After years of training at a local gym, Sue decided she wanted a change from her monotonous routine. She discovered Forged Fitness in 2007 and joined their team as a trainer in 2009. Forged Fitness has been an avid part of her life ever since.
Sue’s passion and dedication to her Forged training has helped her reach new levels in her fitness, which has transferred into other life pursuits. Sue continually works to advance her knowledge and athletic training in order to better assist others in reaching their goals and optimum results. She is passionate about coaching and strives to help others become better everyday. She enjoys working with both kids and adults and wants everyone to feel as though exercise is fun.
Outside of Forged Fitness, Sue is a mother of three, enjoys competing in triathlons, running 5K races, camping and traveling.
