JUDO

Judo is a Japanese martial art derived from jiu-jitsu that aims to strengthen the mind as well as the body. Students will learn to control and subdue their opponent using grips, holds, and throws. It was introduced to the general public in a more mainstream setting in 1964 when it was added to the Summer Olympics Games in Tokyo. While the practice of Judo is physical, the concept is an all-encompassing practice of physical, moral, and mental teachings.
